Caramel Apple Cheesecake Jar
Thanksgiving is fast approaching and Lakeside’s Executive Chef Emily’s taste buds are tingling. The key to a delicious Thanksgiving feast is, of course, a delectable dessert. Chef Emily has shared her absolute favourite Thanksgiving dessert, all you have to do is gather the ingredients and begin baking the delicious Caramel Apple Cheesecake Jar in just 4 simple steps!
8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla
2 tbsp Caramel
1 cup Graham Crackers Crushed
2 tbsp Butter Melted
4 cups Diced Apples
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Sugar (depending on how sweet the apples are)
2-4 tbsp Cornstarch
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cinnamon
- Beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla.
- Dice apples, and place in a sauce pan with the lemon juice. Saute for 4 minutes & then add the sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg & cinnamon. Chill.
- Mix Graham Cracker and butter.
- Layer – Graham, Cheese mixture, apple mixture etc. until jar is full. On the top layer put graham and a little caramel.
